The Rivers State Command of the Nigerian Police has successfully apprehended a cold-blooded assassin and serial killer, who engages in kidnapping and terrorising local communities, Anthony Ndubuisi, yesterday, 30th June 2020. The man, who is from Imo State, was arrested by the operatives of the Rivers State Command who uncovered a soakaway filled up with about twenty corpses at his residence which is located on Jesus Avenue, Umuebule One, in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State. The suspected killer and resident of the house, effectively covers his nefarious acts as a trader in Ogbunabali Road, Port Harcourt.
A trader from Aba had left the address and phone number of the suspect with his wife as he headed to Port Harcourt to receive ₦500,000 being cost of goods he supplied to the suspect on credit. After waiting for 48 hours without hearing from her husband, neither seeing him return, the wife of the victim reported to the police who went ahead to investigate.
After a series of interrogations, the suspect was compelled to take the Police to his residence. As the officers combed through the compound, they came across five yet to decay corpses were in a 20ft soakaway exclusively dug for dumping of corpses. The pit, which was dug four years ago, contained about 15 more corpses yet to be brought out as at yesterday.
Wife to the suspect has absconded with four children while two grown up children of the suspect have also ran from their house.
Some of the children had narrated how their father strangled his victims even in their presence. They hinted that he sternly warned them not to tell anyone of the evil act else he would also apply same treatment to them.
The residence has attracted plenty of crowd who try to catch a glimpse of what the place looks like.
The Nigerian Police Force has intensified its efforts against kidnapping and banditry in virtually every state of Nigeria and the latest arrest will go a long way to unravel cases of disappearance of citizens.
The purpose for which Ndubuisi keeps the bodies of his victims is not yet ascertained. But it is a common practice in many places of Nigeria where trade in human parts is a lucrative business as ritualists have high demand for them as dubious politicians and diabolic business owners patronise them for charms and “protection”.
More details soon as events unfold.
