Kogi State Government Mourns Lawmaker John Abbah

The Government of Kogi State has been thrown into mourning as Honourable John Abbah, who represents the Ibaji Constituency at the State House of Assembly, died on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at a hospital in Abuja after a long battle with illness. The Chief of Staff to the governor of Kogi State, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Mohammed Jamiu Asuku, said he was saddened by his death, describing Abba as a dedicated and energetic man with total commitment and dedication to serving humanity.

Speaking through the Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff, Abubakar Mujahid, the Chief of Staff said the contributions of late John Abbah to the House of Assembly and Kogi State, will be sorely missed.

Asuku despaired about the examplary leadership qualities of the deceased, saying that his demise is a big loss to the state as he was dedicated to nation-building and committed to unity of purpose.

He prayed to God to forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds. He appealed to his family, the good people of Ibaji Local Government Area, Kogi State House of Assembly, Kogi APC, his friends and associates, to take solace because God remains the giver and taker of life.

The late honourable John Abbah was a repected elder among the lawmakers, who exhibited lots of energy and progressive views.
