Just In: Protests Rock APC Secretariat, Call for Sacking of National Working Committee

Protests rocked the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday, after party members under the aegis of the Concerned All Progressives Congress Members raided the premises calling for the National Working Committee (NWC) to be dissolved.

The protesters gave President Muhammadu Buhari and National Executive Committee of the party a 72 hours ultimatum to convey an emergency meeting and dissolve the present NWC.

Opokwu Ogenyi, who is the groups’ head, said that the party has been ruined by greedy men, who have wrecked more havoc than good.

Opokwu said, “This present National Working Committee has caused us to lose seven states to the opposition. APC had twenty four states governors before the present NWC, today we have 18 governors. Just yesterday, the deputy governor of Ondo State left us and joined opposition Peoples Democratic Party.”

The group vowed to extend the protests to other states, until their agitations are resolved.
