Following a meeting with his security chiefs on Thursday, President Muhammadu Buhari has charged them to redouble their efforts, as he expressed displeasure with the current state of insecurity in the country.
In a chat with State House Correspondents on Thursday, after the security briefing, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (Rtd.), said the President had charged managers of the nation’s security to redouble their efforts.
According to General Monguno, the president was not happy with the disunity between the different security outfits in the country, in their fight against crime and insurgency.
He said that the president told them to liaise with northwestern governors in order to quickly clamp down on crime and insurgency in that zone.
He added that, the president would no longer condone any more excuses.
