More than 40 lives were reportedly lost in Kadisau Community, a village in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State, when unknown gunmen raided the village and unleashed mayhem on the community members on Tuesday.
There was no rest on the night, as the gunmen kept shooting sporadically, killing many children and women. Houses and cars were also looted and burnt, as many were left displaced.
The bandits who began the raid at about 5pm, entered the community on motorbikes, numbering about 100, rustling more than 400 cows in the process.
Sources indicated that the group started with setting houses and shops ablaze chanting, “you have no place to hide today.”
According to a resident AbdulRazaq Yahaya, “the bandits came around 5 pm and did not leave until 9 pm.” He confirmed that security agents arrived after the attack.
“They killed so many people including my two younger brothers. As at this morning, I have counted 42 corpses and some till now, we could not find their corpses.”
