Despite accusations from the World Health Organisation, that the Government of Tanzania has been hoarding COVID-19 figures, the Tanzanian Government has announced that the country is now free of COVID-19.
President John Magufuli made this known on Monday, while attributing the end to the pandemic to the prayers and devotion of citizens and to God’s grace.

He also gave applause to those priests and worshippers who didn’t wear masks and hand gloves to shield them from contracting the virus.

Magufuli said, “It gives me joy to be a leader of a country that puts God first, God loves Tanzania.

“The works of the devil will always be defeated in Tanzania because we love God and that is why even the coronavirus (COVID-19) has been defeated by God in our country.”
