“While I commend your efforts to the training, let me warn that you must operate/handle the new equipment proficiently, we will not accept cowardice, sabotage or inefficiency under any guise whatsoever. Your discipline, commitment and assimilation is so far quite encouraging and commendable. You should continue to learn well and be able to efficiently operate the new platforms in readiness to your deployment into the mission areas.” Lieutenant General Buratai spoke to the instructors, staff, and participants, saying he was satisfied at the quality and standard of training, commitment and discipline.
He urged them to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, effectiveness, as well as discipline in whatever tasks they are to be assigned to, while commending the Commandant, the instructors, and the entire staff of the school for job well done, advising the students (participants) to be focused and cooperate so that they learn skills and knowledge that they will apply to practical situations effectively in any theatre of operation.
The course leader, on behalf of the participants, thanked General Buratai, lauding his inspiring style of leadership and uncommon desire to end terrorism in the country, promising their unalloyed support and stewardship in bringing terrorism to an end in no distant time, with the availability of the newly acquired equipment at their disposal.
General Buratai also used the time to inspect the living accommodation of some soldiers in Shadawanka Barracks, 33 Brigade Bauchi, whose roofs were destroyed by rainstorm. Repairs are already ongoing as seen during the visit to the affected areas. According to the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sagir Musa, the impromptu visit to the sites is evidence of General Buratai’s stance of placing troops’ welfare as one of his topmost priorities.
