Edo APC Primaries: Governor Obaseki Tells Oshiomole to Stay Off

The governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has asked the National Chairman of All People’s Congress (APC) Comrade Adams Oshiomole to recuse himself from the party’s gubernatorial primaries in the state, as he is an interested party.

The governor said this, while speaking to the media, after submitting his expression of interest and nomination forms at the party’s Secretariat on Wednesday, in Abuja.

“It is against natural justice for a man to be a judge in his own case.

“For me and my colleague – Governors, we can’t see the party we are building destroyed. We should all drop our egos and work for our party.” He opined.

He expressed belief that he would emerge victorious despite the mode of balloting adopted for the primaries.

He also denied the rumour that he had purchased nomination form of the PDP, insisting he is a “party man to the core”.
