Nigerian music Star and Reggae legend, Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly known as Majek Fashek , is dead.
His manager, Omenka Uzoma, announced this on the late Reggae King’s Instagram handle, on Tuesday.
He did not disclose the cause of his death.
He added that Fashek uplifted the country and the continent through his music.
“Today I have been having pressure calls, well it is true that the African No 1 Legendary ICON has gone to be with the LORD his Maker.
“Let’s celebrate him, his achievements, and his family, whatever decisions made by his immediate family will be notified,” he said.
The Benin-born singer came to limelight through his 1988 album “Prisoner of Conscience”, which included popular songs like “Send Down the Rain”.
