Not fewer than 10 Armoured personnel Carrier and other operational vehicles were seen in Katsina on Tuesday, in readiness for onslaught against bandits and kidnappers in the state by joint security operatives.
The vehicles were parked at the National Youth Service Corps permanent orientation camp along Mani road, Katsina where members of the Special Force of the Nigeria Police who are among those to carry out the onslaught were lodged.

DIG Alli told journalists later that he came on a solidarity visit to members of the Special Force to psyche them up for the onslaught.
He said, “I am here on operational solidarity visit to our members of the special force. They were specially trained for the task and would be carrying out the onslaught in collaboration with the army, the DSS and the NSCDC.
“The assignment may be long and it may be short but I will appreciate it if we finish it off on time so that we can move on. Bandits are human beings and not masquerades and we will implore people of the state for cooperation and understanding while we carry out the task.
“We have taken appropriate measures to ensure that the bandits and the kidnappers do not escape through our border areas during the onslaught. “
