111 People Tested of COVID-19 in Kogi- Kogi State Government

According to the Kogi State Government, all 111 Coronavirus test samples taken came back negative.

The Commissioner for Information, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo made this known in Lokoja on Tuesday. He however said that the tests were carried out without the supervision of the NCDC.

He noted that the testing kits procured by the State were used to conduct the tests and that those tested were picked randomly.

“Kogi State got testing kits independently and followed NCDC guidelines,” the Commissioner said.

“111 COVID-19 rapid tests were conducted in Kogi State yesterday (Monday), and all results came out negative,” he added.

He added: “We shall not go to streets to pick people to be tested for COVID-19, but hospitals where people with similar symptoms are found and also based on any information of suspected cases.”
