LOCKDOWN: Identify Hotels and Beer Parlours Still in Operation For Demolition, Wike tells Task Force

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has called on the Local Government Task Force on COVID-19 in the State to single out those hotels and beer parlours that are still operating during this period of lockdown for demolition.

He said this while inaugurating the Local Government Task Force on COVID-19 in the State capital on Thursday.

He told the newly formed task force that they have been chosen to fight an invisible enemy, while calling on the residents of the state to join hands in helping stamp out the pandemic in the State.

“From tomorrow, move into any hotel that is operating, identify it and we will bring down the hotels.

“I have the political will. Those people who disobey will face the consequences. Nobody should come from outside to compound our problems and import this invisible killer. We will not accept that”.

“We should not allow what is happening to continue, we don’t have the capacity to face it and there will be no support from any quarter,” he said.
