Two deaths have been recorded from the twelve confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Osun State.
The state had conducted 167 tests during the ongoing lockdown.
Governor Gboyega Oyetola revealed this while briefing journalists at the government house, Osogbo.
According to Oyetola, out of the twelve confirmed cases, 6 are returnees from Benin republic, 1from lbadan in Oyo state, 3 are the state health officials, while 2 who arrived Osun from Lagos state with underlying ailments lost their lives to the virus.
Protocols for burials, the governor hinted, will be strictly observed according to the instructions from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), before victims are buried.
He also revealed that contact tracing will immediately begin.
