51 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) has been recorded in Nigeria, making it a total of 493 confirmed cases in the country.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC) on friday night.

According to NCDC, no fewer than 85 patients had been discharged from treatment centres in the country.

The NCDC said the new cases were recorded as follows 32 in Lagos, 6 in Kano, 5 in Kwara, 2 in FCT, 2 in Oyo, 2 in Katsina, 1 in Ogun and 1 in Ekiti.

Friday’s confirmations is the highest daily number of cases announced by the centre.

Though 159 patients have been discharged, the country recorded 4 more deaths making a total of 17 deaths.
