Niger State government, in collaboration with Niger State Environmental Protection Agency (NISEPA) has launched a vast disinfection and fumigation campaign in the Limawa community in Minna.
This is coming after the index case was confirmed in that community. The exercise is covering the market, sales center, public utilities, shops, and streets.
The fumigation exercise which initially flagged off last month forms part of the government’s program to disinfect all markets and other public areas across the state following the recorded cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the country.
The move is part of the government’s commitment to safeguarding the public health of its citizens.
The Governor, Sani Bello has called for maximum cooperation and support from the citizens and urged them to remain indoor and adhere to the restriction guidelines issued on Saturday.
The agency has moved to Bida local government area to continue with the fumigation exercise as promised, to disinfect all the 25 local government areas in the state.
