Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa on Thursday, inspected facilities and equipment at the isolation centres that the state had set-up at the Asaba Specialist Hospital and the Centre for Communicable Diseases and Research, Federal Medical Centre, Asaba, the state capital.
In a post on his facebook page, Okowa said, today’s inspection was to ensure that the environment is comfortable enough to accommodate any infected citizen or resident of the state, even as his administration continues to monitor and treat Delta State’s index case of the Coronavirus (COVID19) virus.
He wrote “I spent the early part of my day inspecting the facilities and equipment at the isolation centres that we have set-up at the Asaba Specialist Hospital and the Centre for Communicable Diseases and Research at the Federal Medical Centre in Asaba.
“As we continue to monitor and treat Delta State’s index case of the COVID19 virus, today’s inspection was to ensure that the environment is comfortable enough to accommodate any infected citizen or resident of Delta State.”
