Some Nigerians put their lives on the one today, when a petrol tanker fell around OPIC, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, and instead of running away, they went around the scene scooping fuel.Shortly after the incident, however, many young persons around the area stormed the scene and started scooping fuel from the busted tanker.

The incident took place at about 12:43pm, and eyewitness said it was triggered by reckless driving. The driver was seen speeding and struggling to manoeuvre the deep potholes by the side of the road when the accident occurred. The driver of the truck with 242 written on it in blue ink, fled the scene immediately.

While some people became apprehensive that the tanker would explode, others couldn’t stop even on a dime as they stormed the location immediately with buckets and jerry cans to scoop fuel, until the policemen enforcing the lockdown tried to chase them away.
