Former lawmaker, Mrs. Dorothy Mato has distributed foodstuff and other household materials to staff of Fidei Polytechnic, Gboko to help cushion the harshness of the COVID-19 Lockdown.
Mato, a former member of the Benue state House of Assembly and Nigeria’s Green Chambers, said she is touched by the stay at home directives of President Muhamadu Buhari and Benue state government in which many workers and the generality of the people remain indoors.
Explaining what necessitated the gesture, Mato stated that, as cofounder and Cultural/Social Ambassador of the fast growing private Polytechnic in north central Nigeria, she felt concerned and decided to extend her widow’s might of some essential needs to the staff.
Stuffs donated by the known philanthropist to the staff included amongst other things, cows, bags of rice, cartons of indomie, bags of salt, Maggie and hand sanitizers, insisting that all she donated must be taken home for family use.
She use the forum to advise them to observe what the govt and World Health Organization (WHO) have directed and take care of their families.
