The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), had on Sunday night, announced 14 new cases of coronavirus in the country.
The 14 new cases according to information by the NCDC indicates that, 9 persons tested positive in Lagos, while the remaining 5 cases were recorded in the Federal capital Territory, Abuja.
This is coming barely hours after president Mohammadu Buhari, in his nationwide broadcast directed the total shutdown of Abuja, Lagos and Ogun State for a period of 14 days, beginning from Monday, 30th March, as a way of curtailing the spread of the virus in the country.
The latest development has brought the total number of cases in Nigeria to 111, with only one death recorded.
