The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has on Tuesday 24 adjourned seating till April 7, as a measure to curtail the spread of COVID-19.
This was disclosed to newsmen in Abuja by the President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan after a close door meeting of the senators.
The Senate has also advised the Federal Government to assist the states with funds to handle the COVID-19 pandemic.
Similary, the Senate appealed for Federal Government support to victims of the virus.
Meanwhile, the Senate also observed a minute silence in honour of Sen. Rose Oko, Senator representing Cross River North, who passed on.
