Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar’s son has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Atiku, who is the immediate past presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 general election, disclosed this on Sunday night on his facebook page.

According to him, Nigeria’s Centre for Disease Control has been duly informed, while his son has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja.

He wrote: “My son has tested positive to the #coronavirus. Nigeria’s Centre for Disease Control has been duly informed, and he has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment and management. I will appreciate it if you have him in your prayers. Stay safe, coronavirus is real. -AA.”

Nigeria has confirmed 30 cases of the virus, while two have recovered and have been discharged.
