Protesters who identified themselves as PDP North-West Concerned Youth Forum have besieged the headquarters of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) demanding for an investigation of anti-party activities leveled against the party’s North-West Vice Chairman, Ibrahim Kazaure.
The group accused Kasaure of not having meetings with the party stakeholders in the North-West since 2016, but was however seen have meetings with stakeholders of APC.
The convener of the group, Abubakar Rafindadi presented the petition to the National Chairman of the Party, Prince Uche Secondus in Abuja on Friday, 20 March.
The petition read “At this point, we will like to call on your good and powerful but yet humble office to set-up a panel to investigate these glaring allegations we level against Senator Kazaure, for peace to reign and keep the party together. He should step aside as zonal Chairman in other to allow for a transparent process of investigation to take place.
In response to the group, the National Chairman, Prince Uche said that his office would take steps to address the issue, “On the North-west, it is an internal matter and we will handle it very well,” Uche said.
