The United States President, Donald Trump today, Thursday announced that he has pushed the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to hasten the production and distribution of the anti-malarial drug, hydroxychloroquine and to do away with bureaucracy in getting them to patients across the country.

President Donald Trump, addressing newsmen said, “We’re going to be able to make that drug available almost immediately, and that’s where the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has been so great.”

“They’ve gone through the approval process – it’s been approved. They took it down from many, many months to immediate. So we’re going to be able to make that drug available by prescription.”
