The South-East governors have concluded arrangements to launch a regional security outfit in April 2020 to address some security challenges in the region.
Governor David Unahi of Eyboyi State and Chairman of South-East Governors’ Forum diclosed this on Saturday during the convocation at Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki in a response to Senator Jim Nwobodo’s call for regional security. “A general is also heading our security outfit… We are coming up with something,” Umahi said.
Senator Jim Nwobodo, a former Governor of old Anambra State charged all the governors of the South-East to set up a security outfit without delay. “I charge all the South-East governors to take the issue of security seriously.
