A student who was an eye witness spoke on condition of anonymity, narrated that the supected cultists came into the university at about 7 PM, shot into the air while chasing the deceased student and killed him on campus. “The cultists chased the final year student of Political Science from outside into the campus, shot in the air … The student was chased down to the university library, where the assailants caught up with him and axed him mercilessly until he gave up,” student said.
A group suspected to be a cult group has on Wednesday 11th, killed a final year student of Political Science Benue State University, Makurdi.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Moses Kembe said that the suspected cultists took the advantage of the ASUU strike to perpetrate the crime.
