Join Amotekun, Afenifere Tells Kwara State Governor.

The Yoruba group Afenifere have called on the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak to jump on the bandwagon of Amotekun.

Chairman and the Public Relations Officer of the Kwara State chapter of Afenifere, Lekan Alabi and Comrade Adeleye Adebayo, the group said: “Apart from the cultural and linguistic affinity of Kwara State with the Southwest states, the ravaging herdsmen have caged many of our communities and subjected them to avoidable trauma, just as it was being done to our kith and kin in the Southwest states”.

He continued, “Our farms are being ravaged with impunity by the herdsmen and we have become prisoners in our land.

“In the light of above, we call on Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to key into the Amotekun security project as proposed by the Yoruba states. This will prevent unnecessary loss of lives, loss of property and anguish that herdsmen/community clashes could bring”.

They stated this after a meeting of the Kwara State chapter of the Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere.
