Ighalo Scores in Manchester United Rout.

Odion Ighalo opened his Manchester United goal account today when he scored against Club Brugge in the Europa League.

This was the return leg in the tie, with the first leg ending in a draw. United took the lead through January signing Fernandes in the 27th minute, as he converted a penalty that Mctominay had won, when his goal bound shot was stopped by the arm of Brugge’s Deli. United were beginning to tale control of the game now.

Then it was Ighalo’s turn. The Nigerian, on loan from Chinese Super League, turned in a cross from Juan Mata, before wheeling away to celebrate by revealing a mural of her late sister, whom the goal was dedicated to.
Seven minutes later, youngster, Scott Mctominay made it 3:0 after receiving an assist from Fred. The youngster has been a revelation for his club especially with the absence of Paul Pogba.

Bruno Fernandes was replaced by Lingard, and it was the Englishman who went on to assist Fred late to make the scoreline even more great. Fred would score again, three minutes into extra time to seal the points. The game ended 6:1 on aggregate.


United have now booked their place in the Round of 16 of the Europa League.
