The Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Alhaji Aminu Shagali, had on Tuesday, resigned his position amid alleged plans by his colleagues to impeach him.

Honourable Tanimu Musa, the House Committee Chairman on Information, confirmed this when he was contacted by newsmen.

He stated that the Speaker resigned honourably in his role as Speaker, but will continue to perform his duties as a member of Kaduna State House of Assembly as well as to his constituents.
