A 10 year old Manchester United fan, Daragh Curley of Donegal tried to convince the Liverpool boss to not win the league by writing to the Reds boss as part of a school assignment.
Liverpool have only lost 3 games across all competitions this season and it has not sat well with rival fans, with some claiming on many social media platforms that Liverpool’s success has been due to them always getting favourable VAR calls. But young master Curley went the extra mile to write Klopp, making it very personal.
The lad wrote the letter as a class assignment but his parents were surprised when Klopp replied. The Red’s who is known for his great relational ability, appreciated the boy for his passion in supporting his club, Manchester United, but went further to say that he has been brought in to win games, as not winning them will bring about the sadness of Liverpool fans across the world.
Liverpool are on course to winning their first Premier League title in 30 years, with United languishing in 7th place. In those 30 years, United has dominated the Premier League, winning the championship a staggering 13 times under then Manager, Sir Alex Fergusson, who retired in 2013. But since then, their eternal rivals Liverpool having been coming back, and have now won the Champions League, a record 6 times, their first since 2005.
