Buhari increases Interim Management Committee of NDDC, Replaces MD

President Muhammadu Buhari, has given approval for the Interim management Committee (IMC) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to be increased from three members to five members, with Barrister Joy Nunieh removed as Ag. Managing Director.

This was contained in a statement released by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

According to the statement, the new five member committee includes, Professor Kemebradikumo Daniel Pondei (Ag. Managing Director), Dr Cairo Ojougboh, (Ag. Executive Director, Projects); Mr Ibanga Bassey Etang, (Ag. Executive Director , Finance and Administration); Mrs Caroline Nagbo (Member); and Cecilia Bukola Akintomide, OON, (Member).

Professor Pondei, has now replaced Barrister Joy Nunieh as Ag. Managing Director of the Commission. He is a Professor of Medicine at the Niger Delta University, and former Provost, College of Health Sciences of the institution.

The new Interim Management Committee will be in charge of the NDDC, pending the conclusion of the forensic audit currently going on in the Commission.
