A passenger onboard an Uber ride-hailing car on Saturday jumped into the Lagos lagoon, without getting to his destination.
It was gathered from the Uber driver that he picked the yet-to-be identified passenger from Gbagada. And when they got to Third Mainland Bridge, he asked him to stop and allow him empty his bowels as he was having a stomach ache. The driver told the police that immediately he stopped the vehicle, the man left his belongings and made for the guardrail where he jumped into the water.
The Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident, saying that rescue operation was ongoing. It is not known whether the man will be rescued alive or dead.
