It has just been announced that the Premier League game between Manchester City and West Ham has been postponed due to extreme weather conditions which have been caused by Storm Ciara.
More than 200 flood alerts have been issued in the United kingdom in the past 48 hours. Winds moving at a speed of more than 80 mph and heavy rains have been causing mayhem since early this morning. The storm has been codenamed “Storm Ciara”.
Aside the disruption of the Manchester City vs West Ham game, flights, both local and international, have also been cancelled. Roads have also been closed. It remains to be seen whether the 3pm fixture between Sheffield United and AFC Bournemouth will also be postponed. More information about the rescheduling later.
