TMZ reports that NBA legend Kobe Bryant has passed away in a helicopter crash in Calabasas California.

Reports emerging says Kobe was in the company of his daughter and 3 others. None of the occupants of the helicopter is said to have survived the crash, which happened not too far from the house of Kourtney Kardashian.

Kobe who played several NBA seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers is considered by many to be one of the greatest basketball players to have ever graced the court. Apart from personal awards and achievements, he had made the all star team several times as well as been a member of the US men basket team at several Olympics.

Little is known of reason for crash at the moment as details continue to emerge.
